Maersk is currently recruiting to fill the below position:

Job Title: Internal Sales

Job Ref.: DC-012366

Job Purpose
  • To provide support in sales activities to the Cluster Commercial and Ocean/Trade lane managers
  • To provide assistance to Customers and Operations during implementation of new business/Clients
  • Identify opportunities to grow Damco’s business with existing and new customers, in the country and within the global Damco Network
  • To identify and pursue trade lane focussed opportunities
  • To update and report on CRM activities
Job Responsibilities
  • Prepare Quotations and Estimates for all Sales activities in the country/region, towards Clients and Global offices
  • Telesales: Cold call prospect clients on lists/leads
  • CRM: Update all Prospect/Qualify client details and follow up through the sales’ stages
  • Standard Operating Procedures: Draft and maintain SOPs as per Client and Damco requirements.
  • Handover of SOPs to Customer Service for network business / own customers
  • Sales Kits: Put together and keep up to date door openers and sales pack
  • Proposals: Draft proposals for quotation
  • Presentations: Draft presentations as required
  • Tender follow Ups
  • Sales Meetings: Prepare reports from CRM and keep minutes and action points
  • Maintain excellent interpersonal and network relationships
  • Maintain excellent relationships with Ocean Procurement & Haulage procurement team
Requirements
Who we are looking for:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the Logistics/ Freight forwarding industry
  • Complete understanding of incoterms
  • Excellent planning and organizing and administrative skills
  • Sound knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Excellent relationship building abilities
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal
