Job Title: Business Development Manager (Marine Sector)

Location: Lagos

Reports to: Head of Commercial / Managing Director

Job Summary

  • The Business Development Manager (Marine Sector) will be responsible for driving business growth, expanding market presence, and developing strategic partnerships within the marine, offshore, and maritime indust
  • The role requires a commercially driven professional with strong industry knowledge, excellent client management skills, and a proven ability to generate revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the marine and offshore sector
  • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies and client acquisition
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with marine, offshore, and maritime clients
  • Prepare and submit proposals, tenders, quotations, and commercial bids
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and industry trend monitoring
  • Lead client meetings, presentations, and contract negotiations
  • Collaborate with operations, technical, and finance teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Represent the company at marine industry events, conferences, and exhibitions
  • Track business development activities, sales pipelines, and performance metrics
  • Support smooth handover of secured contracts to operations teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Marine Engineering, Maritime Studies, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in business development within the marine, offshore, maritime logistics, or shipping industry
  • Strong understanding of marine operations, offshore services, and maritime regulations
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and closing high-value deals
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
  • Age Range: 25–45 years.
