Job Title: Brand and Communication Manager

Location: Gwarinpa, Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously refine the company’s brand strategy in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Serve as the brand custodian, ensuring consistent application of brand identity (tone, voice, visuals, and messaging) across all touchpoints.
  • Create and enforce brand guidelines for internal teams and external partners.
  • Monitor brand perception, sentiment, and reputation across digital and offline channels.
  • Advise executive leadership on brand positioning, public image, and communication risks
  • Own the end-to-end content strategy, ensuring all content is intentional, high-quality, and audience-focused.
  • Oversee the creation of:
    • Social media content
    • Website and landing page content
    • Campaign and promotional materials
    • Corporate communications and announcements
  • Establish content standards, editorial calendars, and approval workflows.
  • Ensure messaging clarity, grammatical accuracy, brand alignment, and cultural sensitivity.
  • Lead storytelling initiatives that humanize the brand and strengthen emotional connection with audiences.
  • Design and implement data-driven digital marketing strategies to drive brand awareness, lead generation, engagement, and conversions.
  • Manage and optimize organic and paid digital channels including social media platforms and digital campaigns.
  • Work with performance marketers or agencies to plan, execute, and evaluate paid advertising initiatives.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance using relevant analytics tools.
  • Continuously optimize strategies based on insights, trends, and audience behavior.
  • Develop a comprehensive video content strategy aligned with brand and marketing goals.
  • Oversee all stages of video production:
    • Concept development
    • Scriptwriting and storyboarding
    • Editing standards and post-production quality
  • Ensure consistency in:
    • Visual identity
    • Transitions, subtitles, sound, and pacing
    • Platform-specific optimization (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Approve final video outputs before publication.
  • Lead innovation in video formats, trends, and storytelling approaches.
  • Act as the central coordination point for all brand and communication efforts across departments.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, HR, Operations, and Executive Management.
  • Support employer branding, internal communication, and corporate culture initiatives.
  • Lead or contribute to company-wide campaigns, launches, and strategic announcements.
  • Manage, mentor, and evaluate content and communications team members.
  • Coordinate external vendors, agencies, and freelancers.
  • Establish clear workflows, deadlines, and performance expectations.
  • Ensure efficient use of resources and adherence to budgets where applicable.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across branding, content, digital marketing, and video output.
  • Prepare regular performance reports for management.
  • Translate insights into actionable improvements.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in content quality, engagement, and brand impact.
  • Strong strategic thinking and brand management expertise.

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Public Relations, Journalism, Advertising, or Business Administration
  • A Master’s degree (MBA, Marketing, Communications) is an added advantage
  • Professional certifications are a plus:
  • PR or Digital Marketing certifications
  • Brand strategy or media communications certifications.

Experience

  •  3- 6 years of relevant work experience.
