Job Summary

  • The Chef is responsible for overseeing the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals, ensuring high-quality cuisine that meets the resort’s standards.
  • The Chef leads the kitchen team, manages inventory, and maintains hygiene and safety compliance in all kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan menus and create dishes that reflect quality and creativity
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, kitchen assistants, and cleaners
  • Ensure all food is prepared to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and hygiene
  • Manage inventory, order supplies, and minimize waste
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff on food preparation, safety, and hygiene
  • Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff for timely food service
  • Innovate new recipes and seasonal dishes to enhance guest experience
  • Handle special guest requests and dietary requirements

Requirements & Skills

  • Proven experience as a Chef or Head Chef in hotels/resorts
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Creativity and knowledge of diverse cuisines
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational and inventory management skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Working Conditions:

  • Fast-paced and high-pressure kitchen environment
  • Shift work, including weekends, holidays, and early mornings
  • Standing for extended periods and handling hot kitchen equipment.
