Job Title: Brand Manager (FMCG)

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Purpose

  • This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive brand growth and achieve marketing objectives for allotted brand within the company's portfolio.
  • You will manage all aspects of the brand, from market research and competitor analysis to communication, product development, and brand performance evaluation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand target audience, market trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Maintain a comprehensive brand plan, including brand architecture, positioning, and growth strategies.
  • Monitor brand performance metrics (market share, brand awareness, brand health) to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Media, Creative, Market Research) to define brand initiatives and budgets.
  • Create clear and compelling brand messaging and communication briefs for creative agencies.
  • Be part of the development process, including concept selection, scriptwriting, production, and ad monitoring.
  • Analyze the effectiveness of brand communication campaigns to ensure strong brand awareness and recall.
  • Identify gaps and opportunities within the brand portfolio through market analysis.
  • Collaborate with product development (PD) to conceptualize, develop, and launch new products.
  • Conduct packaging research and development to ensure optimal consumer appeal and differentiation.
  • Partner with the sales team to plan, execute, and monitor trade promotion activities.
  • Analyze consumer promotion effectiveness to drive product pull and market demand.
  • Interpret market research data and identify key trends impacting the brand.
  • Translate research insights into actionable recommendations for brand strategy, product development, and marketing initiatives

Education & Relevant Experience

  • Minimum of B.Sc Degree in a related field, MBA in marketing will be an added advantage with 4 years experience
  • Experience in Brand Management/Category management is preferred.
  • Experience in Food & Beverage - Consumer Brands is preferred.
  • Experience in Sales, managing agencies is a plus.

Salary
N800,000 - N1,000,000 / Month.
