Job Summary

  • We are seeking a passionate and skilled Local Cuisine Cook to join our kitchen team.
  • Your primary role is to prepare and execute traditional dishes with precision, ensuring that every plate honors the authentic flavors and techniques our community loves.

Key Responsibilities
Culinary Execution & Authenticity:

  • Traditional Preparation: Execute complex, time-honored recipes involving slow-cooking, specialized spice-blending, or specific regional techniques.
  • Consistency: Ensure every dish matches the "home-cooked" flavor profile that defines the local brand.
  • Mise en Place: Manage daily prep work, focusing on fresh, locally sourced produce, meats, and traditional seasonings.

Kitchen Operations:

  • Efficiency: Maintain speed and accuracy during peak service hours without compromising the integrity of the dish.
  • Waste Management: Monitor inventory to reduce food waste, especially when working with seasonal or perishable local goods.
  • Safety & Hygiene: Adhere to all health department regulations and maintain a spotless workspace.

Innovation & Sourcing:

  • Market Knowledge: Assist the Head Chef in sourcing the best local ingredients from trusted vendors or farmers.
  • Menu Input: Offer insights on seasonal variations of traditional dishes to keep the menu fresh yet authentic.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Interested candidates should possess an exceptional "taste memory"  to ensure spices and seasoning levels are consistent daily.
  • 2+ years of professional cooking experience.

Salary
N110,000 / month.
