Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to support the financial record management of our client, a travel agency.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for recording daily financial transactions, reconciling accounts, managing invoices and payments, and maintaining accurate financial documentation.
- The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to ensure that all financial records are properly maintained to support smooth and compliant business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Record daily financial transactions, including sales, expenses, and payments.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for the travel agency.
- Prepare and issue invoices to customers and corporate clients.
- Monitor payments from clients and follow up on outstanding receivables.
- Manage supplier and vendor payments (airlines, hotels, travel partners, etc.).
- Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly.
- Maintain proper filing of financial documents and receipts.
- Assist the consultant with the monthly financial report and expense tracking.
- Support management in budgeting and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with basic accounting and financial procedures.
Requirements
- Minimum of OND / HND / BSc in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 1–2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in a service-based business.
- Experience working in a travel agency or tourism-related business.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar).
- Familiarity with sales tracking, commissions, and vendor payments common in travel operations.
- Basic knowledge of financial compliance.
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information.
