Job Description

  • We are seeking a Growth & Sales Lead / Business Development Manager to drive strategic commercial growth, institutional partnerships, and revenue expansion across its international metals, minerals, petrochemicals, and commodity trading ecosystem.
  • This role is designed for a senior sales and commercial operator capable of converting high-value opportunities, securing institutional partnerships, and developing channels that expand AMMC’s trade footprint across Africa and global markets.
  • The position begins with a six-month performance-based engagement, with the opportunity to transition into a long-term leadership role with corporate benefits, executive responsibilities, and potential equity participation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic growth and sales initiatives
  • Manage Business Development Managers (BDMs) and commercial teams
  • Secure institutional buyers, corporate clients, and strategic partners
  • Lead negotiations for high-value commodity transactions
  • Identify new revenue channels, markets, and growth opportunities
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategy
  • Collaborate with operations, finance, and agent networks to maximize deal flow

Candidate Profile
Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in: Business Administration, Commerce / International Trade, Finance / Economics, Marketing / Management
  • MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is an advantage
  • Must have at least 10 years experience

Professional Experience:

  • Proven track record in commercial leadership, B2B sales, or strategic partnerships
  • Experience managing teams of sales professionals or business development managers
  • Deep understanding of commodity trading, metals, minerals, petrochemicals, or industrial markets
  • Experience operating in cross-border trade, Africa and global markets

Strategic Network & Mobility Requirement:

  • Applicants should possess extensive networks in Africa, Asia, Europe, and other global commodity trading hubs, including buyers, distributors, and institutional partners.
  • Candidates should be highly mobile and open to regional and international engagements as required.

Compensation

  • Salary: USD 1,200 / Month
    First 6 months: Performance-linked commission structure
