Job Title: HRBP, Operations & Manufacturing I

Location: Dangote Cement I Coast

Job Description

  • Reporting to the HR Manager, the job holder will support Operations and Manufacturing teams (Plant, Production, Maintenance, Mines, and Industrial Logistics) in managing and developing their human resources.
  • The role acts as both a strategic and operational partner to align HR practices with operational performance objectives, improve workforce effectiveness, and ensure compliance with Group HR policies and local labor regulations.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide HR advisory and support to Operations and Manufacturing managers on all people-related matters
  • Support workforce planning based on production and operational requirements
  • Manage the recruitment process for technical and operational positions
  • Ensure proper onboarding and follow-up of new employees
  • Implement and monitor the performance management process (goal setting, appraisals, performance improvement plans)
  • Identify high-potential employees and support succession planning for critical roles
  • Identify technical and behavioral training needs and monitor implementation of development plans
  • Handle disciplinary cases in line with labor laws and internal procedures
  • Support the prevention and management of industrial relations issues and maintain a stable work environment
  • Ensure the proper implementation of HR policies, procedures, and collective agreements
  • Monitor and analyze HR metrics (turnover, absenteeism, overtime, productivity, etc.)
  • Support organizational changes and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate in HR audits and ensure legal and regulatory compliance
  • Maintain strong field presence within operational areas and production units.

Candidate Profile
Education and Professional Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Law, Business Administration, or related fields
  • 5 - 8 years of HR experience
  • Proven experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner
  • Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment (cement, mining, heavy industry, or similar) is strongly preferred
  • Good knowledge of local labor laws and industrial relations practices
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (advanced Excel) and HRIS tools.
