Job Summary

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records / Administrative Officer to manage patient records, support administrative functions, and ensure smooth operation of the healthcare facility.
  • The successful candidate will maintain accurate records, assist with reporting, and coordinate administrative tasks to enhance patient care and facility efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
  • File, retrieve, and manage both physical and electronic health records.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with medical records regulations.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and managing patient flow.
  • Support administrative tasks such as correspondence, reporting, and data entry.
  • Coordinate between departments for smooth operational workflow.
  • Prepare reports on patient statistics, admissions, and discharge summaries.
  • Handle inquiries from patients, staff, and external organizations.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, data protection laws, and quality standards.

Requirements

  • Diploma, Degree, or Certificate in Health Information Management, Administration, or related field.
  • Knowledge of medical records management systems and procedures.
  • Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or hospital management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in medical records or healthcare administration.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality standards.
