Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Locations: Jos  - Plateau, and Yola - Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales performance within a defined geographic area by managing a team of sales representatives, developing market strategies, and building strong customer relationships.
  • The role focuses on achieving revenue targets, expanding market presence, and ensuring effective execution of sales plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve area revenue and growth targets
  • Manage, coach, and supervise a team of sales representatives or distributors
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand customer base within the territory
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
  • Ensure effective distribution, product availability, and visibility in the market
  • Track sales performance and prepare periodic reports for management
  • Set sales targets and KPIs for the team and monitor performance against goals
  • Coordinate with marketing and operations teams to execute campaigns and promotions
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing, and credit guidelines

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
  • 4–8+ years of sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Good understanding of the local market and distribution channels
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

Salary
N100,000 - N150,000 month.
