Job Title: Business Development / Marketing Executive

Location: Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Job Tasks
Typical work activities revolve around the running of advertising campaigns. Tasks typically involve:

  • Managing Accounts / Campaigns 
  • Discussing the products, services and advertising requirements of each particular client;
  • Setting up meetings with clients and other agency staff;
  • Delegating work to other members of the agency team;
  • Working with the account manager to brief media, creative and research staff, and assist with the formulation of marketing strategies;
  • Liaising with, and acting as the link between, the client and advertising agency by maintaining regular contract with both, ensuring that communication flows effectively;
  • Overseeing the status of advertising campaigns and follow up on prospects and business ideas
  • Negotiating with clients and agency staff about the details of campaigns;
  • Presenting creative work to clients for approval or modifications;
  • Meeting deadlines and prioritizing tasks;
  • Handling budgets and managing campaign costs;
  • Writing reports, keeping records and financial details
  • Winning and securing i.e. keeping new businesses – principal reason for being employed*
  • Actively contribute to team meetings regarding new projects, suggesting ideas and brainstorming
  • Promote services through conventions, trade shows, public relations, etc
  • Work with the Management team to assist with developing the Sales strategy.
  • Follow up on sales leads
  • Sell appropriate advertising to businesses within the country/region
  • Pre-sales research of potential advertisers.
  • Work with creative to develop new leave-behind product(s), newsletter, advertising, materials etc.
  • Develop and maintain in close relations with local business environment in order to fulfill client’s needs more effectively.
  • Telemarketing services to potential clients and assist in coordination and implementation of telemarketing activities by contracting companies.
  • Anticipate the needs of potential clients and fit Agency’s tailored services.
  • Create and maintain a database of clients and leads.
  • Monitoring the profitability of accounts;
  • Becoming familiar with the nature of clients’ products
  • Monitoring the effectiveness of campaigns;
  • Arranging and attending meetings and reporting on key decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree / HND in Mass Communication, Marketing, Sociology or a related field
  • 2–3years in B2B sales / business development, specifically within an advertising, digital media, or creative agency.

Salary
N90,000 - N100,000 Monthly.
