We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Business Development and Sourcing Specialist

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Department: Business Development / Procurement
Reports To: Business Development

Job Summary

  • The Business Development and Sourcing Specialist is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and sourcing quality vendors or products to support organizational growth
  • The role combines strategic business development with efficient sourcing and supplier management to drive revenue and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development:

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities to achieve revenue targets
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive insights
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, presentations, and business pitches
  • Negotiate contracts and close deals in line with company objectives.

Sourcing & Procurement:

  • Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers and vendors
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Ensure quality standards and timely delivery of goods/services
  • Conduct cost analysis and implement sourcing strategies to optimize spending.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with internal teams (operations, finance, logistics) to align business goals
  • Track and report on sales performance, sourcing activities, and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate records of client interactions and supplier agreements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related fields
  • 2 - 5 years experience in business development, procurement, or sourcing
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools,
