Job Title: Hotel Porter

Job Summary
- The Porter is responsible for assisting guests with luggage, providing courteous guest services, and supporting the front office in ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for all guests.
- The role plays a key part in creating a positive first and last impression of the hotel.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Guest Assistance:
- Welcome guests upon arrival with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Assist guests with carrying luggage to and from rooms.
- Escort guests to their rooms and explain room features and hotel facilities.
- Provide directions and information about hotel services and local areas.
Front Entrance & Lobby Support:
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the entrance and lobby area.
- Open doors for guests and assist with arrivals and departures.
- Ensure trolleys and luggage carts are clean and available.
Luggage Handling:
- Properly tag, handle, and store guest luggage when necessary.
- Ensure safe and careful handling of guest belongings.
- Deliver luggage promptly and efficiently.
Support to Front Office:
- Assist the reception team during busy periods.
- Run errands within the hotel (e.g., delivering messages, documents, or items to rooms).
- Help in coordinating guest requests.
Safety & Security:
- Monitor activities around the entrance and report suspicious behavior.
- Ensure guest property is handled securely.
- Follow hotel safety procedures at all times.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Guest satisfaction and feedback.
- Timeliness in luggage handling and guest assistance.
- Professional appearance and conduct.
- Cleanliness of assigned areas.
- Responsiveness to guest requests.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of an SSCE or equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a hotel or customer service role is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy luggage.
- Basic understanding of hotel operations.
