- We are looking for a Training Business Manager to lead this function end-to-end—driving revenue, building a strong trainer network, and ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality training programs.

Role Description
- This is a full-time hybrid role for a Training Business Manager. The role involves the development, sales, implementation, and management of training programmes to support capacity-building initiatives across various sectors.
- The Training Business Manager will work closely with stakeholders to assess needs, design tailored training strategies, sell, manage training projects, and oversee evaluations to ensure quality and impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and convert new clients across corporate, SME, and public sector segments
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of training opportunities
- Develop and deliver tailored training proposals and presentations
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and engagement terms
- Maintain strong client relationships to drive repeat business and referrals.
- Represent the firm at relevant industry events and networking opportunities
- Build and manage a pool of high-quality, vetted trainers across key subject areas.
- Lead trainer sourcing, vetting, onboarding, and contracting
- Develop frameworks for evaluating trainer performance and quality
- Maintain strong relationships to ensure trainer availability and consistency
- Own and deliver on revenue targets for the training division
- Track key metrics: pipeline, conversion rates, revenue, client retention, trainer utilisation
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership
- Identify opportunities for growth through new products, partnerships, and markets
- Oversee end-to-end planning and execution of all training programs
- Coordinate schedules, logistics, and delivery (virtual and in-person)
- Manage client communication throughout the engagement lifecycle
- Ensure all trainings are delivered on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards.
- Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for training delivery
- Work closely with internal teams (admin, finance, marketing)
Qualifications
- Experience in training development, instructional design, sales, and managing training programs
- Experience in Learning & Development (L&D) or professional services is an advantage
- Ability to conduct needs assessments and develop tailored training solutions to address unique challenges
- Proficient in project management, budgeting, and stakeholder engagement
- Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills tailored to diverse audiences
- Practical understanding of capacity-building, innovation strategy, and system strengthening
- Ability to work autonomously in a remote setting and lead initiatives across a range of industries
- A professional background in education, human resources, or organizational development is advantageous
- Proven track record of closing deals and driving revenue growth
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment

Compensation
