Role Overview

  • We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Executive to identify opportunities and expand its client base.
  • This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, persuasive, who can identify new business opportunities, focus on building long-term business relationships, and promote the company’s logistics services effectively.
  • You will be a key point of coordination, helping to expand the company’s market presence and achieve sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across air freight, sea freight, import/export handling, customs clearance, and logistics services.
  • Develop and implement effective business development strategies to drive revenue growth and market expansion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning.
  • Generate and qualify leads through networking, cold outreach, referrals, and industry events.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling proposals, quotations, and presentations to clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service terms in line with company objectives.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to ensure service delivery aligns with client expectations.
  • Monitor client accounts, track engagement, and identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipelines, and client interactions using CRM tools.
  • Follow up on inquiries, proposals, and ongoing negotiations to drive deal closure.
  • Provide regular reports on sales performance, pipeline status, and revenue projections.
  • Gather client feedback and market insights to support service improvement and innovation.
  • Represent the company at meetings, conferences, and industry engagements to promote brand visibility.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and contractual standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or client acquisition roles, preferably within logistics or a service-based industry.
  • Proven track record of generating leads, closing deals, and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of sales cycles, pipeline management, and client relationship management.
  • Ability to identify market opportunities and convert prospects into long-term clients.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
  • Experience preparing proposals, quotations, and business presentations.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and tracking sales activities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet set targets.
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.
