We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: IT Manager

Location: Abuja (FCT) 
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • The IT Manager will have full responsibility for Jamub Group's hardware infrastructure and software systems.
  • This is a technically demanding, dual-focus role: the successful candidate must be equally proficient in hands-on hardware management (servers, networking equipment, workstations, printers, UPS units, and structured cabling) and enterprise software administration (ERP, Microsoft 365, databases and security software).
  • The IT Manager will lead the IT team, drive digital transformation, and ensure that all technology assets support the Group's operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Software Administration:

  • Manage and maintain enterprise software systems, including ERP platforms, Microsoft 365, databases, and business productivity tools to ensure optimal performance, licensing compliance, security, and system reliability.

Software Procurement & Licensing:

  • software procurement, deployment, upgrades, patch management, and software asset lifecycle management.

Database Administration & Data Management:

  • Administer databases by ensuring proper configuration, backup, recovery, performance tuning, and data integrity across all systems.

Server & Data Centre Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring reliable operation of data centre infrastructure, power systems, and backup environments..
  • Network Infrastructure:
  • Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure including LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, routers, switches, access points, and structured cabling to maintain stable connectivity and uptime.

Workstation & End-User Device Management:

  • Oversee deployment, maintenance, and lifecycle management of workstations, laptops, printers, IP phones, and other end-user devices.

Structured Cabling & Physical Security:

  • Manage physical IT infrastructure and security systems including server room access control, CCTV, biometric systems, and structured cabling installations.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education / Experience:

  • Minimum of B.Sc / B.Tech / HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of IT experience
  • A postgraduate degree (M.Sc / MBA in IT Management) is an added advantage.

Core Competencies & Personal Attributes:

  • Expert-level technical proficiency in both software administration and hardware infrastructure the ability to work at the command line, configure a switch, and rebuild a server are equally valued as managing cloud environments and enterprise applications.
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic mindset able to systematically isolate and resolve complex software bugs, system conflicts, network outages, and hardware faults with minimal downtime.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills able to build, mentor, and hold an IT team accountable across hardware and software responsibilities.
  • Strong project management ability, experience planning and delivering IT projects (software rollouts, hardware refresh programmes, network upgrades) on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication skills able to produce clear technical documentation and present IT issues and investment proposals to management.
  • Proactive and commercially aware identifies technology risks and opportunities before they become problems, and links IT investment to measurable business outcomes
