We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Event Coordinator

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract
Reports To: Head of Business Development and Programmes

Job Brief

  • The Event Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and execution of the organization’s events and industry engagements.
  • The role is responsible for ensuring seamless delivery of conferences, roundtables, and capacity-building initiatives, including the flagship the company annual event, while maintaining high standards of stakeholder experience and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Event Planning & Coordination:

  • Support the planning and execution of events from concept to delivery.
  • Develop event timelines, work plans, and checklists to ensure effective coordination.
  • Liaise with internal teams to align event objectives, content, and logistics.

Logistics & Operations Management:

  • Coordinate all event logistics including venue, accommodation, transportation, catering, and technical requirements.
  • Manage vendors and service providers to ensure quality delivery within budget.
  • Oversee on-site event setup, registration, and overall event flow.

Stakeholder & Participant Management:

  • Coordinate communication with speakers, sponsors, partners, and delegates.
  • Manage invitations, registrations, confirmations, and follow-ups.
  • Ensure a high-quality experience for all event participants.

Event Promotion Support:

  • Work with the communications team to support event marketing and promotion.
  • Assist in driving attendance, sponsorship visibility, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Support the dissemination of event-related information and updates.

Budget Tracking & Reporting:

  • Assist in managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost efficiency.
  • Support post-event reporting including feedback, participation metrics, and outcomes.
  • Maintain records of vendors, participants, and event performance.

Programme & Content Support:

  • Support agenda development, session coordination, and speaker management.
  • Ensure smooth coordination of event sessions, panels, and activities.
  • Assist in preparing event materials such as programmes, briefs, and reports.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years experience in event coordination, project management, or a related role.
  • Experience in organizing conferences, corporate events, or industry forums is an advantage.
