National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) Act 2007 provides for the establishment of the NIMC, its functions, powers, establishment of the National Identity Database, assignment and use of General Multi-purpose cards, and the National Identification Number (NIN). The Act also provides the Commission with powers to make regulations connected with its functions. The NIMC Act 2007 provides the repeal of the law that created the former Department of National Civic Registration (DNCR) and the transfer of its assets and liabilities to the NIMC.

NIMC is currently recruiting to fill the below position:

Job Description
Reporting to the Head, Information Technology Security Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for executing the CryptoVision platform’s value proposition, as well as placement and pricing strategies. In particular, he/she will develop product strategies and roadmap to address target markets and revenue generation. He/she will also assist in monitoring cyber security market trends and technology developments closely to translate into the overall product strategy.

Key Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree or its equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering or, Computer Engineering or other related fields. A master's degree in Business Administration will be an advantage.
  • A minimum of 6 year's professional experience or 13 years' Civil Service experience, including administrative and management level experience in similar roles.
  • Strong knowledge of cyber security threats, as well as demonstrable experience working with information security products, services, and concepts.
