Job Title: Business Development Executive - Online Marketplace
Location: Lagos
Role Overview
- We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Officer to grow and scale our online marketplace.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales, increasing order volume on the app and web, and building strategic partnerships that position our platform as a leading choice for individuals and organizations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive sales and increase order volume across the marketplace platform
- Develop and execute strategies to capture and grow market share
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to create awareness and user adoption campaigns
- Promote and drive usage of our Outright Purchase and Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) offerings
- Identify and onboard organizations to actively use the platform for their procurement needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to senior management and decision-makers to close partnerships
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to inform strategy
- Track performance metrics and provide regular reports on growth and sales activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field
- 2–5 years experience in Business Development, Sales, or Partnerships (preferably in FMCG, e-commerce, or marketplaces)
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong negotiation and closing skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage top-level executives
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach to execution
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
