Job Title: Learning & Development Manager

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Summary 

  • Ellasot Consulting is recruiting on behalf of a reputable Oil &Gas company seeking a competent, detail-oriented Learning & Development Manager to join its operations team.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the learning strategy across our organization. Designing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and career growth.
  • This role is suited for professionals with Learning & Development Manager experience within the Oil and Gas servicing sector who can drive the learning strategy across our organization.

The Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee curriculum development, facilitation, and training effectiveness
  • Design and deliver training programs (including e-learning, technical, soft skills, leadership)
  • Manage key initiatives such as Management Trainee Programs, Leadership Development, and induction trainings
  • Coordinate internal and external trainings, including the ITF-related program
  • Develop and execute the organization’s learning and development strategy
  • Conduct training needs analysis across departments
  • Manage onboarding and continuous learning initiatives
  • Evaluate training effectiveness using metrics and feedback
  • Oversee e-learning platforms and digital learning tools
  • Collaborate with department heads to identify skill gaps
  • Manage L&D budget, vendors, and external training providers
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development
  • Coach and support managers in employee development plans
  • Ensure compliance with mandatory training and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • B.SC / M.SC in Human Resource Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 2-7 years of experience in leadership development or talent management.
  • Familiarity with digital learning trends and tools
  • Coaching or mentoring certification
  • Strong instructional design and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze data and measure training impact
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Professional certification:

  • COREN.
