Job Description
- As an Online Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering structured, interactive, and high-quality lessons via virtual platforms.
- You will work with students one-on-one or in small groups, ensuring they understand key concepts and achieve academic improvement.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and well-structured online lessons
- Prepare lesson plans in line with the curriculum
- Assess students’ performance and provide feedback
- Use digital tools (slides, whiteboards, videos, etc.) effectively
- Maintain a professional and distraction-free teaching environment
- Ensure punctuality and consistency for scheduled classes
- Upload lesson materials and reports as required
- Communicate progress with parents/guardians when necessary.
Requirements
- Reliable laptop (mandatory)
- Stable internet connection
- Headset with clear audio
- Quiet and professional teaching environment
- Willingness to undergo training and class observation
- Availability to commit to scheduled classes consistently
Education:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree (Education or relevant field preferred)
- Teaching certifications are an added advantage
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in teaching (online or offline)
- Experience working with children or teenagers
- Familiarity with international curricula (e.g., British, Canadian) is a plus
Skills:
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- Good classroom management (even in virtual settings)
- Proficiency in using online teaching tools (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.)
- Ability to simplify complex concepts
- Patience, creativity, and adaptability
- Strong internet and basic tech troubleshooting skills.
