Job Title: Head, Business Development & Operation

Responsibilities
Business Development & Portfolio Growth:

  • Drive loan book growth aligned with the company's risk appetite. Optimize yield across loan products.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with banks and fintechs to streamline disbursement and repayment applications.
  • Conduct market and regulatory analysis to ensure compliance with CBN regulations.

Credit Risk Management:

  • Supervise credit risk analysis of financial statements, credit reports, and collateral.
  • Monitor Approval Quality Index by tracking default rates of approved loans. Keep credit review error rate below 2%.

Portfolio Health Monitoring:

  • Manage Portfolio at Risk by identifying early signs of delinquency.
  • Minimize Non-Performing Loan (NPL) ratio through restructuring, payment plans, and settlements.

Loan Recovery & Collections:

  • Lead recovery strategy to improve overall recovery rate across portfolios.
  • Reduce annual write-off rate. Ensure compliance with CBN regulations and Nigerian debt recovery laws.

Loan Operations Efficiency:

  • Reduce average loan process:ing TAT (24-72 hours).
  • Achieve >90% SLA compliance for customer and bank inquiries.
  • Guarantee 100% error-free documentation and disbursement accuracy. Oversee loan management systems (e.g., Loan Disk).

Team Leadership & People Management:

  • Drive team KPI achievement rate (>80%).
  • Track productivity per officer. Monitor and reduce absenteeism rate (<5%) by enforcing attendance policies.

Revenue Generation & Growth:

  • Own and drive revenue targets for the e-commerce business
  • Identify and execute strategies to increase sales and profitability
  • Optimise pricing, product mix, and sales channels
  • Work with marketing/BD to drive campaigns that convert to revenue

Operational Strategy & Execution:

  • Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with business goals
  • Translate business objectives into clear operational plans and workflows
  • Monitor and improve operational efficiency across all functions

Order Fulfilment & Logistics:

  • Oversee end-to-end order processing (order placement → delivery)
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and cost-effective order fulfilment
  • Manage relationships with logistics and delivery partners
  • Resolve delivery issues, delays, and escalations

E-commerce Platform Management:

  • Oversee daily operations of the e-commerce website
  • Ensure product listings are accurate, updated, and optimised
  • Coordinate with team members on platform performance and issue resolution

Customer Experience & Support:

  • Ensure a seamless end-to-end customer journey
  • Oversee customer service operations (queries, complaints, returns)
  • Implement processes to improve customer satisfaction and retention

Data Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs):
  • Order fulfilment rate
  • Delivery timelines
  • Customer satisfaction
  • Return rates
  • Generate weekly/monthly operational reports
  • Use data to drive decision-making and process improvements

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field
  • 3+ years experience in operations (preferably in e-commerce & loan financial services)
  • Strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, loan operations and inventory management
  • Experience with e-commerce & buy now pay later (e.g., Jumia, Konga)
  • Data-driven with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong negotiation and commercial skills
  • Data-driven and highly analytical.

Salary
N600,000 - N700,000 per month.
