Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)

Location: Lagos
Reports To: Managing Director / CEO

About the Role

  • We are hiring a results-driven and commercially astute Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale its operations across mobility and logistics services.
  • The COO will be responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing fleet performance, and ensuring sustainable revenue growth while maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:

  • Oversee daily operations across all business units (ride services, cargo logistics, and fleet management)
  • Drive efficiency in fleet utilization, route optimization, and service delivery
  • Establish and enforce operational policies, processes, and performance standards.

Strategy Execution:

  • Translate business strategy into actionable operational plans
  • Identify growth opportunities across new locations and service lines
  • Lead expansion initiatives and ensure seamless execution.

Financial & Commercial Performance:

  • Drive revenue growth and profitability across all operations
  • Monitor cost structures and implement cost optimization strategies
  • Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.

Team Leadership & People Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage operations teams including drivers, fleet supervisors, and logistics personnel
  • Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results
  • Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies.

Customer Experience & Service Quality.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across all touchpoints
  • Implement systems to track service quality, complaints, and resolution
  • Drive continuous improvement in service delivery standards.

Risk, Compliance & Governance:

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  • Mitigate operational risks, including fleet safety and asset management
  • Strengthen internal controls and operational governance.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or related field (MBA is an added advantage)
  • 10+ years experience in operations management, preferably in logistics, transportation, or mobility sector
  • Proven track record of scaling operations and driving business growth
  • Strong financial and commercial acumen
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience managing large, field-based teams
  • Available to travel.

Salary
N800,000 monthly.
