Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Location: Lagos
Reports To: Managing Director / CEO
About the Role
- We are hiring a results-driven and commercially astute Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead and scale its operations across mobility and logistics services.
- The COO will be responsible for driving operational excellence, optimizing fleet performance, and ensuring sustainable revenue growth while maintaining high service standards.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Oversee daily operations across all business units (ride services, cargo logistics, and fleet management)
- Drive efficiency in fleet utilization, route optimization, and service delivery
- Establish and enforce operational policies, processes, and performance standards.
Strategy Execution:
- Translate business strategy into actionable operational plans
- Identify growth opportunities across new locations and service lines
- Lead expansion initiatives and ensure seamless execution.
Financial & Commercial Performance:
- Drive revenue growth and profitability across all operations
- Monitor cost structures and implement cost optimization strategies
- Work closely with Finance to ensure accurate forecasting and budgeting.
Team Leadership & People Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage operations teams including drivers, fleet supervisors, and logistics personnel
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability and results
- Oversee workforce planning, recruitment, and retention strategies.
Customer Experience & Service Quality.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction across all touchpoints
- Implement systems to track service quality, complaints, and resolution
- Drive continuous improvement in service delivery standards.
Risk, Compliance & Governance:
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
- Mitigate operational risks, including fleet safety and asset management
- Strengthen internal controls and operational governance.

Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or related field (MBA is an added advantage)
- 10+ years experience in operations management, preferably in logistics, transportation, or mobility sector
- Proven track record of scaling operations and driving business growth
- Strong financial and commercial acumen
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing large, field-based teams
- Available to travel.
