Job Title: Assistant Learning & Development Manager

Location: Gujeni, Kaduna
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Learning & Development Manager / Head of HR

Position Overview

  • The Assistant Learning & Development (L&D) Manager will support the design, implementation, and evaluation of training programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and career growth.
  • This role works closely with the L&D Manager and HR team to ensure learning initiatives align with organizational goals and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Training Needs Analysis: Assist in identifying skill gaps and development needs across departments.
  • Program Design: Support the creation of engaging learning modules, workshops, and e-learning content.
  • Facilitation: Deliver training sessions and workshops, ensuring interactive and impactful learning experiences.
  • Evaluation: Monitor and assess training effectiveness using feedback, performance metrics, and ROI analysis.
  • Learning Technology: Manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital tools to track participation and progress.
  • Employee Development: Support career development initiatives, mentoring programs, and succession planning.
  • Collaboration: Partner with managers and stakeholders to align training with business objectives.
  • Compliance Training: Ensure mandatory training programs are delivered and tracked effectively.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Education, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Learning & Development, HR, or Talent Management.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design and adult learning principles.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in LMS platforms and digital learning tools.
  • Analytical mindset with ability to measure training impact.
  • Creative problem-solving and project management skills.
