Job Summary
- We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Commercial Manager to join our leadership team.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s commercial operations, contract administration, project profitability, pricing coordination, commercial sales support, and client account management across projects and operational activities.
- The successful candidate must possess strong experience in commercial management, contract administration, pricing strategy, client coordination, and project commercial analysis within the oil & gas or EPC sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee commercial management activities across projects, contracts, procurement, operational engagements, and product/service transactions.
- Review, negotiate, and administer client contracts, subcontracts, service agreements, and vendor commercial terms.
- Ensure proper interpretation and implementation of contractual obligations and commercial deliverables.
- Lead commercial evaluations for tenders, bids, RFQs, and proposal submissions in collaboration with the Business Development team.
- Support pricing strategies, project costing, budget reviews, and profitability analysis for projects, products, and services.
- Monitor project commercial performance, revenue tracking, cash flow positions, and cost control measures.
- Support commercial sales activities for the company’s products and services across petrol stations, industrial clients, and corporate organizations.
- Coordinate preparation of commercial quotations, pricing schedules, invoices, and client proposals.
- Work closely with the Business Development team to convert opportunities into profitable business engagements.
- Maintain commercial relationships with key clients, vendors, distributors, subcontractors, and operational partners.
- Monitor customer payment obligations, contract utilization, and commercial performance metrics.
- Collaborate with operations, procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure efficient delivery of products and services to clients.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate commercial, contractual, operational, and financial risks.
- Conduct commercial reviews of procurement activities, vendor agreements, and subcontractor engagements.
- Assist management in identifying market trends, customer demands, and competitive pricing strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Law, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Commercial Management, Contracts Administration, Sales Support, or Project Commercial Operations within Oil & Gas, EPC, engineering, or energy sectors.
- Strong experience in contract negotiation, project costing, commercial analysis, pricing strategy, and risk management.
- Sound understanding of EPC contracts, procurement processes, supply operations, and oil & gas commercial frameworks.
- Experience supporting commercial sales activities, client account management, or product/service commercialization is an added advantage.
- Experience handling tenders, commercial bid evaluations, claims, and variation management.
- Strong knowledge of project budgeting, profitability analysis, cost optimization, and commercial reporting.
- Professional certifications such as PMP, COREN, NSE, NIQS, ICAN, ACCA, CIMN, or equivalent are an added advantage.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, reporting tools, ERP systems, and commercial documentation processes.
Salary
N350,000 - N450,000 monthly.
