Job Summary
- The Chief Security Officer (CSO) is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing security strategies across all company locations, including restaurant outlets, head office, central kitchen, warehouse, and other operational facilities.
- The CSO ensures the safety of employees, customers, company assets, cash, inventory, and information while minimizing security risks, theft, fraud, and operational losses.
- The role also oversees CCTV surveillance operations, investigations, incident management, access control, and compliance with company security policies.
Key Responsibilities
Security Operations Management:
CCTV & Surveillance Management:
- Directly supervise the Surveillance Officer and CCTV operations team.
- Ensure all CCTV cameras, recording systems, and monitoring equipment are fully operational.
- Review daily CCTV surveillance reports from all outlets.
- Investigate suspicious activities identified through CCTV monitoring.
- Ensure CCTV footage is properly stored and retrievable when required.
- Coordinate CCTV reviews during investigations involving theft, fraud, misconduct, accidents, or customer complaints.
- Ensure surveillance coverage of critical areas including:
- Cash Points/POS
- Kitchens
- Stores and Warehouses
- Receiving Bays
- Dining Areas
- Parking Areas
- Administrative Offices
- Recommend installation of additional cameras where security risks are identified.
Asset Protection & Loss Prevention:
- Protect company assets from theft, fraud, vandalism, and misuse.
- Develop loss prevention strategies across all outlets.
- Monitor inventory-related losses in collaboration with Operations, Audit, and Store Departments.
- Conduct investigations into inventory shrinkage and unexplained losses.
- Review cash handling procedures and recommend security improvements.
Incident Investigation & Reporting:
Lead investigations into:
- Theft cases
- Employee misconduct
- Customer incidents
- Fraudulent activities
- Security breaches
- Missing assets
- Prepare detailed investigation reports with findings and recommendations.
- Liaise with law enforcement agencies when necessary.
- Maintain incident logs and security records.
Risk Assessment & Compliance:
- Conduct periodic security risk assessments for all locations.
- Identify vulnerabilities and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements.
- Develop business continuity and emergency response plans.
Emergency Response Management:
Coordinate response to emergencies including:
- Fire outbreaks
- Robbery attempts
- Security threats
- Civil disturbances
- Medical emergencies
- Ensure emergency procedures are communicated and understood.
- Conduct periodic emergency drills.
Security Personnel Management:
- Recruit, train, and supervise security personnel.
- Develop duty rosters and deployment plans.
- Conduct performance evaluations for security staff.
- Ensure proper discipline and professionalism among security personnel.
- Coordinate security awareness training for employees.

- Support investigations and audits requiring security input.
- Provide security reports and recommendations to Management.
Surveillance Officer (CCTV Operations) Oversight Responsibilities:
The CSO shall ensure the Surveillance Officer:
- Monitors CCTV feeds across all outlets and facilities.
- Generates daily surveillance reports.
- Escalates suspicious activities promptly.
- Maintains CCTV equipment functionality.
- Archives and retrieves footage upon request.
- Supports investigations with video evidence.
- Maintains confidentiality of surveillance information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Security Management, Criminology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
- Professional security certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5–7 years security management experience.
- Experience managing security operations across multiple locations.
- Experience in hospitality, restaurant, retail, or FMCG operations is preferred.
