Job Summary
- We are seeking experienced and results-driven Relationship Managers currently working within the Commercial Banking segment of reputable financial institutions across Nigeria.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of commercial banking clients, driving deposit mobilization, asset creation, revenue growth, and delivering exceptional relationship management services.
- Candidates must possess a strong understanding of commercial banking products, credit analysis, risk management, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of Commercial Banking customers across assigned sectors and regions.
- Drive deposit mobilization and achieve assigned liability growth targets.
- Identify and onboard new commercial banking customers to expand the bank's market share.
- Structure and market credit facilities tailored to clients' business needs.
- Conduct financial analysis and credit assessments to support lending decisions.
- Monitor customer accounts and ensure compliance with approved credit terms and regulatory requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers within client organizations.
- Cross-sell the bank's products and services including loans, trade finance, cash management, treasury products, and digital banking solutions.
- Ensure timely loan repayments and portfolio quality management.
- Prepare business proposals, credit memoranda, and periodic portfolio performance reports.
- Monitor industry trends and identify emerging business opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver excellent customer service and achieve business objectives.
- Ensure adherence to the bank's policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk management frameworks.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Banking & Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3–10 years' experience in Commercial Banking Relationship Management.
- Candidates must currently be working as a Relationship Manager, Senior Relationship Manager, or equivalent Commercial Banking role within a Commercial Bank.
- Proven track record in deposit mobilization, credit marketing, and portfolio management.
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment and financial statement analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow commercial banking portfolios.
- Excellent business development and negotiation skills.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations and compliance requirements.
- Professional certifications such as ACIB, ACA, ACCA, CFA, or related qualifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
