Job Title: Van Sales Representative
Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Purpose
- To drive effective sales, distribution and merchandising of the products in the retail channel covering Neighbourhood supermarket, Modern Retail Trade outlets, Horeca outlets
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure disciplined and effective sales coverage of all outlets on the route plan, sales of products across the range leading to no OOS and effective merchandising on the shelf
- Carry the assigned basket of goods in the van and coverage the pre-defined routes as per the route plan on a daily basis.
- Adherence to work hour schedule and route plan.
- Recruit new outlets which have the potential to sell Saharan products Communicate the prices effectively along with the promos
- Have deep knowledge of company products range (SKUs, brands name, flavor, packaging, freshness, prices, company policy in connection to merchandising, product freshness) and communicate same to customers.
- Ensure accurate data capture in Out of Stock and off-take reports and other records to achieve a quality database.
- Share the captured data with HO for analysis, review and improvement purposes.
- Rotate stock at POS and replace overage stocks if necessary ie., sell the aged stock in the right outlets in order to avoid market returns.
- Ensure products are available in good condition, if needed, rotate stock in first-expiry first-out basis (FEFO)
- Assists in the implementation of company marketing plans as needed. Inform management of any new developments in the store/ stores i.e. competitive activity, new product launch etc.
- Implement Oda Rider and Oda Merchant as and when assigned by the Management
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Effective calls and sales per day New outlet recruitment
- Zero outstanding debt Basket reconciliation on a weekly basis
- Effective communication with all the concerned stake holders
- Able to resolve conflicts and effectively solve problems Personal effectiveness
Qualification
- Minimum of a HND in any field
- Additional: Experience: Minimum of Two (2) years’ experience in a similar role with established relationship in the assigned market
