Job Summary
- We are seeking a proactive, results-driven, and highly motivated Business Development Officer to identify new business opportunities, build and maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to the company's growth and profitability.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships, generating leads, increasing sales, and expanding the company's market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities to achieve company growth objectives.
- Research and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to develop effective business strategies.
- Generate and qualify leads through networking, referrals, cold calling, email campaigns, and other business development activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to secure new business deals.
- Prepare and submit business proposals, quotations, and contracts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery of products and services to clients.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to increase revenue and market share.
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports on business development activities and achievements.
- Attend industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities to promote the company's products and services.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, business opportunities, and sales activities.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and service delivery.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and business development targets.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Economics, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of proven experience in business development, sales, marketing, or a related role.
- Strong understanding of business development principles, sales strategies, and customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to identify opportunities and convert prospects into clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Goal-oriented with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets.
