Eko Maintenance Limited is a rapidly growing Facility Management Company that specializes in the maintenance of high-rise building facilities with an office located in Victoria Island, Lagos.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Learning and Development (L&D) Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Department: Human Resources

Job Summary 

  • The Learning and Development (L&D) Officeris responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs that improve employee skills, performance, and productivity.
  • The role ensures continuous learning culture within the organization and supports talent development aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Identify training and development needs through job analysis, performance reviews, and consultation with managers
  • Design, plan, and implement effective training programs (onboarding, technical, soft skills, leadership development)
  • Develop training materials such as manuals, presentations, e-learning content, and guides
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions
  • Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness using KPIs such as performance improvement, feedback, and assessments
  • Maintain training records and employee development plans
  • Support onboarding programs for new employees
  • Collaborate with department heads to align learning programs with organizational goals
  • Research and implement modern learning methods and tools (e-learning platforms, LMS, etc.)
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and employee growth

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Psychology, Business Administration,BL ,LLB or related field
  • 2–5+ years experience in Learning & Development or HR training role
  • Professional HR certification (CIPM, CIPD, SHRM) is an advantage.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Training design and facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles
  • Ability to assess training needs and evaluate outcomes
  • Organizational and planning skills
  • Interpersonal and coaching ability
  • Familiarity with HR systems and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
