Job Title: Area Sales Manager

Job Summary

  • The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, market penetration, distribution expansion, and customer relationship management within the assigned territory for the company's product portfolio. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement territory sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Drive volume growth and market share expansion for diaper and hygiene product brands.
  • Monitor sales performance and initiate corrective actions where necessary.
  • Ensure achievement of revenue, distribution, and profitability objectives within the assigned area.
  • Appoint, develop, and manage distributors and key wholesalers within the territory.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing structures, and credit guidelines.
  • Identify new business opportunities and potential markets.
  • Monitor competitor activities, pricing, promotions, and market trends.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision
  • Manage and supervise Area Sales Executives, Sales Representatives, and Merchandisers.
  • Set performance objectives and monitor team productivity.
  • Conduct regular field coaching, route rides, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure effective implementation of promotional campaigns and trade activities.
  • Monitor visibility and merchandising standards across outlets.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of trade marketing materials and promotional budgets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, and key accounts.
  • Resolve customer complaints and service-related issues promptly.
  • Identify opportunities for business growth within existing customer accounts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Must have 4–8 years of sales experience in FMCG.
  • Experience in diapers, baby care products, tissue products, sanitary products, or other hygiene-related FMCG categories is highly preferred.
