Job Title: Compliance and Quality Control Officer
Location: Cross River
Employment Type: Full Time
Reports to: Operations Manager / General Manager
Main Function
- The Compliance and Quality Control Officer will be responsible for ensuring that all operational processes, products, and services meet company standards, regulatory requirements, and quality expectations.
- The role involves monitoring operational compliance, conducting inspections, maintaining quality assurance procedures, and ensuring excellent service delivery across hospitality operations.
Role Responsibilities
Compliance Monitoring:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections across operational departments.
- Monitor adherence to hygiene, safety, and food handling standards.
- Identify compliance gaps and recommend corrective actions.
Quality Assurance and Control:
- Monitor product and service quality across restaurant, kitchen, bakery, and bar operations.
- Conduct quality checks on food, beverages, and customer service standards.
- Investigate quality-related complaints and implement improvements.
- Maintain quality assurance documentation and reports.
Risk and Operational Monitoring:
- Support implementation of operational controls and SOPs.
- Ensure proper documentation of compliance and inspection activities.
- Monitor operational risks and escalate issues where necessary.
- Support audit and regulatory inspection exercises.
Reporting and Training:
- Prepare compliance and quality control reports for management review.
- Train staff on compliance procedures and quality standards.
- Promote a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
Qualifications and Requirements
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Food Science, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Certifications in quality assurance, food safety, or compliance management will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in compliance, quality control, or operational monitoring roles.
- Must have relevant experience in hospitality, restaurant, bakery, or resort operations.
- Strong understanding of food safety and quality assurance standards.
Skills:
Analytical and Technical Skills:
- Strong inspection, analytical, and reporting skills.
- Good understanding of operational compliance and quality assurance systems.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Communication and Organizational Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to enforce standards professionally and effectively.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
