Job Summary
- The Business Strategy Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring strategic initiatives that drive organizational growth, operational efficiency, and long-term sustainability. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Support the development and implementation of the organization's short-term and long-term strategic plans.
- Conduct strategic analyses to identify business opportunities, risks, and areas for improvement.
- Monitor the execution of strategic initiatives and track progress against organizational goals.
- Review and evaluate the effectiveness of business strategies and recommend adjustments where necessary.
- Collaborate with senior management to align departmental objectives with corporate strategy.
Business Analysis:
- Analyze internal and external business data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
- Conduct financial and operational analyses to support strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate business performance using key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare actionable insights.
- Perform competitor benchmarking and industry analysis.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.
Market Research and Intelligence:
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive dynamics.
- Gather and analyze data on industry developments and regulatory changes.
- Monitor competitors’ products, pricing, partnerships, and market positioning.
- Prepare market intelligence reports for management review.
- Recommend strategies to improve market share and competitive advantage.
Business Development Support:
- Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, partnerships, and expansion initiatives.
- Assist in preparing business cases, feasibility studies, and investment proposals.
- Support negotiations and relationship management with strategic partners.
- Participate in the development of new products, services, or market entry strategies.
Project Management:
- Coordinate strategic projects from planning through implementation.
- Develop project timelines, milestones, and performance metrics.
- Monitor project progress and address issues that may affect delivery.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure successful project execution.
- Prepare project status reports for management.
Performance Monitoring:
- Develop and maintain strategy dashboards and performance reports.
- Monitor organizational KPIs and identify performance gaps.
- Provide recommendations to improve productivity, profitability, and efficiency.
- Conduct periodic reviews of business objectives and outcomes.
Policy and Process Improvement:
- Assist in developing and reviewing organizational policies and strategic frameworks.
- Recommend process improvements to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Support change management initiatives across departments.
- Promote best practices in business planning and execution.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Collaborate with department heads to ensure alignment with strategic priorities.
- Prepare presentations, reports, and briefing materials for executive meetings.
- Facilitate strategy review sessions and cross-functional workshops.
- Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Risk Assessment
- Identify strategic and operational risks that may impact business objectives.

Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare periodic strategy reports for executive leadership and the Board where applicable.

- Ensure confidentiality of business information and strategic plans.
Other Duties
- Participate in organizational planning sessions and management meetings.
- Represent the organization in strategic engagements when required.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Strategic Management, Marketing, or a related field.

- Professional certifications in strategy, project management, or business analysis (e.g., PMP, CBAP, Lean Six Sigma) are desirable.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in business strategy, corporate planning, management consulting, business analysis, or a related role.
- Experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives.
- Proven track record of conducting market research and business performance analysis.
