Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead business growth initiatives within our automobile manufacturing operations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, expanding market presence, developing strategic partnerships, increasing sales revenue, and driving sustainable growth across key market segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve organizational growth and revenue targets.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and market expansion initiatives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, government agencies, fleet operators, distributors, and key stakeholders.
  • Lead negotiations and close business deals to maximize profitability and market share.
  • Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer assessments to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Develop and present business proposals, tenders, and strategic plans to prospective clients and partners.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Production, Engineering, and Customer Service teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Monitor industry trends, customer preferences, and market developments within the automotive sector.
  • Represent the company at exhibitions, trade fairs, conferences, and networking events.
  • Prepare periodic business development reports, forecasts, and performance analyses for management review.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure business growth and market penetration.
  • Drive customer acquisition, retention, and relationship management initiatives.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Sales, Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA or Master's Degree in a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.
  • 5–8 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, or Strategic Partnerships, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience within the automotive, manufacturing, engineering, or industrial sector is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, communication, and relationship management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • Ability to lead teams, manage multiple projects, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of the Abuja business environment and key commercial sectors will be an added advantage.
