Job Title: Radiographer

About the Role
- The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging standards. The Radiographer will work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and effective patient management.
- This role requires technical competence, professionalism, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
The Radiographer will:
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including general X-rays and other imaging procedures as assigned.
- Prepare patients for radiographic examinations by explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and best practices.
- Monitor and maintain imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and report faults promptly.
- Review image quality and repeat examinations only when necessary to minimize radiation exposure.
- Maintain accurate patient records, examination details, and imaging documentation.
- Assist radiologists and physicians by providing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
- Observe infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethical standards.
- Participate in departmental quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Provide support during emergency and urgent imaging procedures when required.
Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- A Degree or Diploma in Radiography from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Valid professional registration and current practicing license.
- Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques and radiographic procedures.
- Sound understanding of radiation protection principles and patient safety standards.
- Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and related technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
