We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Radiographer

Location: Warri, Delta

About the Role

• The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and high-quality imaging standards. The Radiographer will work closely with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support accurate diagnosis and effective patient management.
• This role requires technical competence, professionalism, and the ability to provide compassionate care to patients from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
The Radiographer will:

• Perform diagnostic imaging examinations, including general X-rays and other imaging procedures as assigned.
• Prepare patients for radiographic examinations by explaining procedures and addressing concerns.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with established protocols.
• Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and best practices.
• Monitor and maintain imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality and report faults promptly.
• Review image quality and repeat examinations only when necessary to minimize radiation exposure.
• Maintain accurate patient records, examination details, and imaging documentation.
• Assist radiologists and physicians by providing high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation.
• Observe infection prevention and control procedures at all times.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and uphold professional ethical standards.
• Participate in departmental quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure efficient service delivery.
• Provide support during emergency and urgent imaging procedures when required.

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must possess:

• A Degree or Diploma in Radiography from a recognized and accredited institution.
• Valid professional registration and current practicing license.
• Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging techniques and radiographic procedures.
• Sound understanding of radiation protection principles and patient safety standards.
• Proficiency in operating radiographic equipment and related technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to detail.
