Job Title: HR Assistant

Location: Minna, Niger
Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized, and proactive HR Assistant to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Minna.
  • In this role, you will play a vital part in our day-to-day administrative operations and support the entire employee lifecycle—from recruitment and onboarding to compliance and record-keeping.
  • The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, connects naturally with a diverse workforce, and brings a "zero-tolerance for error" mindset to data and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Records & Document Management: Maintain accurate, up-to-date digital and physical employee files, ensuring absolute confidentiality at all times.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist the HR department with job postings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and coordinating our onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Payroll & Attendance: Actively track daily staff attendance, manage leave requests, and compile precise data for monthly payroll processing.
  • Policy & Safety Compliance: Assist in communicating company policies to factory and corporate staff, ensuring everyone strictly adheres to our quality and safety standards.
  • Employee Engagement: Act as an accessible, friendly first point of contact for routine employee inquiries and help organize internal engagement activities and team events.

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Education: BA / BSc / HND or National Diploma (ND) in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Experience: 1 to 3 years of experience in an administrative or HR support role.
  • Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word). Comfort using HRIS or digital workforce management tools is a strong plus.
  • Precision: Exceptional attention to detail with an audit-ready approach to record-keeping.
  • Communication: Warm interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with everyone from factory operators to executive management.
  • Location: Must currently reside in Minna or be fully willing to relocate.
