Job Title: Business Development Officer (Loan and Investment)

About the Role
- We are seeking a dynamic, target-driven, and results-oriented Business Development Officer to drive the growth of our Loans and Investment portfolio.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, acquiring clients, promoting loan and investment products, and building long-term customer relationships that contribute to the company's revenue and growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Client Acquisition:
- Identify, prospect, and onboard new loan and investment clients.
- Generate qualified leads through networking, referrals, field marketing, and strategic partnerships.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve assigned targets.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers.
Loan Portfolio Growth:
- Promote the company's loan products to SMEs
- Conduct preliminary assessments of loan applications and customer eligibility.
- Work closely with the Credit and Risk teams to facilitate loan processing and disbursement.
- Monitor client repayment performance and support collections where necessary.
Investment Mobilization:
- Market investment products and attract new investors.
- Educate clients on available investment opportunities, returns, risks, and terms.
- Maintain strong relationships with existing investors to encourage renewals and additional investments.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Provide timely responses to customer inquiries and resolve issues professionally.
- Conduct regular customer engagement activities to improve client retention and satisfaction.
Market Intelligence & Reporting:
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Prepare periodic business development and sales performance reports.
- Provide insights and recommendations for product and market expansion.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Value of loans originated and disbursed.
- Investment funds mobilized.
- Number of new clients acquired.
- Portfolio quality and repayment performance.
- Revenue generated from business development activities.
- Client retention and relationship growth metrics.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Banking, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Loans, Investments, Microfinance, Fintech, Commercial Banking, or related sectors.
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in loan origination, investment mobilization, or financial services marketing is an added advantage.
