Job Title: General Manager (Hotel)

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

About the Role

  • We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and results-driven General Manager to oversee the overall operations of a reputable luxury hotel in Lekki, Lagos.
  • The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, strong commercial acumen, and a proven track record of driving operational excellence, revenue growth, guest satisfaction, and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all hotel operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive revenue and profitability.
  • Oversee all hotel departments, including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Sales & Marketing, Finance, Maintenance, and Security.
  • Monitor and improve hotel performance through effective budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Drive occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with hospitality standards, health and safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Recruit, coach, mentor, and develop high-performing teams.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Analyze market trends and identify new business opportunities.
  • Prepare operational and financial reports for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree is an added advantage).
  • 8–10 years' experience in hotel operations, with at least 3–5 years in a General Manager or senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience managing a 4-star or 5-star hotel is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of hotel operations, revenue management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to increase occupancy, improve profitability, and deliver outstanding guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
