Job Description

  • An Area Sales Manager in Olam Agri is responsible for leading and driving sales, distribution, and market development activities within the assigned region to achieve business growth and profitability objectives.
  • The role is accountable for delivering regional sales targets, strengthening distribution networks, expanding market coverage, and developing high-performing teams.
  • The Regional Sales Manager ensures effective execution of sales strategies, promotional initiatives, and new product launches while fostering strong relationships with distributors and key market stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute regional sales plans aligned with business objectives and distribution strategy.
  • Drive sales, revenue, and market share growth by achieving quarterly and annual targets.
  • Lead regional sales and distribution operations to ensure target achievement and execution excellence.
  • Monitor market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and mitigate risks.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, channel partners, and key customers.
  • Improve product availability, visibility, and market coverage to enhance channel effectiveness.
  • Plan and execute promotional campaigns, market development initiatives, and product launches.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maximize market penetration and achieve distribution objectives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop regional sales teams to drive high performance and capability building.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

  • MBA or Post-Graduate Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Commerce, Marketing, or a relevant discipline.

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of post-qualification experience in sales and distribution.
  • Proven experience in managing regional sales operations and achieving sales targets.
  • Experience in channel management, distributor handling, and market development.
  • Strong understanding of regional market dynamics, geography, and customer demographics.
  • Experience in FMCG, Agri-business, Consumer Goods, or related industries is preferred.
