We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Medical Doctor
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient consultations and medical examinations.
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans.
- Request, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic test results.
- Perform minor medical procedures as required.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Provide emergency medical care when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medical records.
- Ensure patient confidentiality and privacy at all times.
- Refer patients to specialists when necessary.
- Follow up with patients to assess treatment effectiveness.
- Adhere to all medical, ethical, and legal standards.
- Comply with hospital policies, protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical audits.
- Ensure proper documentation of all medical activities.
- Work closely with nurses, pharmacists, laboratory scientists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in medical meetings, case reviews, and training sessions.
- Provide guidance and support to junior medical staff and interns.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS/MBChB).
- Valid practicing license from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).
- Completion of Housemanship and NYSC.
- 1–3 years post-qualification clinical experience (or as required).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Life Support certification is an added advantage.
