The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Floorman
Location: Onshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist Supervisor in identifying jobs which may require a Risk Assessment
- Participate along with Supervisor in Risk Assessments
- Inform the Driller, Assistant Driller, Derrickman, Junior Driller regarding unusual/unsafe situations within their area of work
- If there are 4 Floorman on a crew, each Floorman will be required to take the position of "4th Floorman" on a rota basis
- The duties of the "4th Floorman" will also include:
- Be available on the Drill Floor, making sure that there will always be 3 experienced hands available for operations
- Assist in the training of Roustabouts, not jeopardising the operation in hand
- Participate as a member of the Risk Assessment Team
Required skills and experience
- Suitable experience as a Floorman offshore
- Minimum 2 years previous related experience
- Previous experience on similar units.
