Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited is a 100% Nigerian-owned company with offices in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Floorman

Location: Onshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist Supervisor in identifying jobs which may require a Risk Assessment
• Participate along with Supervisor in Risk Assessments
• Inform the Driller, Assistant Driller, Derrickman, Junior Driller regarding unusual/unsafe situations within their area of work
• If there are 4 Floorman on a crew, each Floorman will be required to take the position of "4th Floorman" on a rota basis
• The duties of the "4th Floorman" will also include:
• Be available on the Drill Floor, making sure that there will always be 3 experienced hands available for operations
• Assist in the training of Roustabouts, not jeopardising the operation in hand
• Participate as a member of the Risk Assessment Team

Required skills and experience

• Suitable experience as a Floorman offshore
• Minimum 2 years previous related experience
• Previous experience on similar units.
