The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Safety Officer 1
Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Spending at least 50% of their time coaching and monitoring personnel
- To provide appropriate training in the Company's HSE Policies, Procedures and Safe Working practices, for all personnel onboard
- To monitor ongoing operations at the worksite in order to confirm that tasks are being carried out in compliance with the Company's HSE Policies, Procedures, and Safe Working practices
- To promote the Company's Safe Behaviour Program through coaching, and the continuous development and roll out of campaign material
- Supporting and advising the Master/OIM, Department Heads, and Supervisors on Health, Safety and Environmental matters
Required skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Safety Officer offshore
- Minimum 3 Years relative experience
- Previous experience on similar vessel
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent Presentation Skills
- NEBOSH General Certificate
- Must have ISPON/IOSH
- Radio Active Officer Safety Training
