Blue Phoenix Deepwater Limited is a 100% Nigerian-owned company with offices in the United Kingdom and Nigeria. The company was established to be an international player with regional strength as a provider of underwater and topside IRM (Inspection, Repair, and Maintenance) of FPSOs, Rigs, SPMs, and offshore and onshore terminals /platforms, primarily in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Safety Officer 1

Location: Offshore, Nigeria
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Spending at least 50% of their time coaching and monitoring personnel
• To provide appropriate training in the Company's HSE Policies, Procedures and Safe Working practices, for all personnel onboard
• To monitor ongoing operations at the worksite in order to confirm that tasks are being carried out in compliance with the Company's HSE Policies, Procedures, and Safe Working practices
• To promote the Company's Safe Behaviour Program through coaching, and the continuous development and roll out of campaign material
• Supporting and advising the Master/OIM, Department Heads, and Supervisors on Health, Safety and Environmental matters

Required skills and Experience

• Previous experience as a Safety Officer offshore
• Minimum 3 Years relative experience
• Previous experience on similar vessel
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent Presentation Skills
• NEBOSH General Certificate
• Must have ISPON/IOSH
• Radio Active Officer Safety Training
