Job Title: Static Engineer
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design:
- Prepare and review engineering specifications, datasheets, calculations, and design documents for static equipment.
- Perform mechanical design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable international codes and standards.
- Review vendor drawings, fabrication documents, and technical submittals.
Static Equipment Engineering
Manage the engineering and technical support for:
- Pressure Vessels
- Reactors
- Distillation Columns
- Storage Tanks
- Heat Exchangers (Shell & Tube, Air-Cooled, Plate)
- Boilers
- Fired Heaters.
Vendor & Procurement Support:
- Prepare Material Requisitions (MRs) and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs).
- Review vendor quotations and technical proposals.
- Resolve vendor technical queries and deviations.
- Participate in technical clarification meetings.
- Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) where applicable.
Mechanical Integrity & Reliability:
- Develop inspection and maintenance recommendations for static equipment.
- Participate in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) and Mechanical Integrity programs.
- Conduct failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
- Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and maintainability.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

- General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
- Inspection Reports
- Welding Documentation
- Material Certificates
- O&M Manuals
- As-Built Drawings

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience:
- 8–12 years of experience in mechanical/static.
