Siperco Nigeria Limited is currently recruiting suitably qualified candidates to fill the position below:

Job Title: Static Engineer

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities
Engineering & Design:

• Prepare and review engineering specifications, datasheets, calculations, and design documents for static equipment.
• Perform mechanical design reviews to ensure compliance with project requirements and applicable international codes and standards.
• Review vendor drawings, fabrication documents, and technical submittals.

Static Equipment Engineering
Manage the engineering and technical support for:

• Pressure Vessels
• Reactors
• Distillation Columns
• Storage Tanks
• Heat Exchangers (Shell & Tube, Air-Cooled, Plate)
• Boilers
• Fired Heaters.

Vendor & Procurement Support:

• Prepare Material Requisitions (MRs) and Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs).
• Review vendor quotations and technical proposals.
• Resolve vendor technical queries and deviations.
• Participate in technical clarification meetings.
• Review Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
• Witness Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) where applicable.

Mechanical Integrity & Reliability:

• Develop inspection and maintenance recommendations for static equipment.
• Participate in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) and Mechanical Integrity programs.
• Conduct failure investigations and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Recommend improvements to enhance equipment reliability, safety, and maintainability.
• Monitor equipment performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.

Prepare and review:

• Mechanical Datasheets
• Equipment Specifications
• Vendor Drawings
• General Arrangement (GA) Drawings
• Inspection Reports
• Welding Documentation
• Material Certificates
• O&M Manuals
• As-Built Drawings
• Mechanical Completion Dossiers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience:

• 8–12 years of experience in mechanical/static.
