Job Summary

  • The Human Resources Business Partner serves as a strategic partner by aligning human resource initiatives with organisational goals.
  • Working closely with branch managers and department heads.
  • The Human Resources Business Partner ensures that HR practices support operational excellence, employee engagement, productivity, and business growth across retail locations.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with HODs to develop and implement HR strategies that support business objectives and operational goals.
  • Act as the primary HR advisor to branch managers on employee relations, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
  • Support workforce planning by identifying staffing needs and coordinating recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
  • Monitor manpower levels and recommend appropriate staffing solutions to ensure optimal workforce utilisation.
  • Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, performance reviews, coaching, and performance improvement plans.
  • Analyse HR metrics such as turnover, absenteeism, recruitment effectiveness, employee productivity, and engagement to provide actionable business insights.
  • Ensure compliance with labour laws, company policies, health and safety regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and recommend appropriate corrective or disciplinary actions where necessary.
  • Partner with managers to improve employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
  • Guide compensation, promotions, transfers, salary reviews, and recognition programs.
  • Support change management initiatives, including organisational restructuring, policy implementation, and new business projects.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality of HR information.
  • Coordinate employee communication and ensure effective implementation of HR policies across all retail branches.
