We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Human Resources Manager / Officer

Location: Surulere - Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all HR and people management functions across NIIT Fortesoft's centre network.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the Company's goals.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and probation management for all staff categories — instructors, counsellors, corps members, interns, and administrative staff.
  • Oversee employee performance management, including KPI development, appraisals, and Performance Improvement Plans.
  • Manage disciplinary processes, employee grievances, and workplace conflict in line with Company policy and the Nigerian Labour Act.
  • Coordinate payroll inputs, leave administration, attendance records, and statutory compliance (PAYE, pension, NHF).
  • Maintain accurate personnel files, employment contracts, and HR documentation across all centres.
  • Develop and implement the Employee Handbook and HR policies.
  • Coordinate HR rounds across all centres to assess staff welfare, conduct, and compliance.
  • Build and maintain a positive workplace culture anchored on accountability, professionalism, and continuous learning.
  • Develop and submit monthly HR reports and workforce metrics to Management.
  • Liaise with Centre Heads and Department Heads on staff matters and HR advisory support.
  • Coordinate staff training, development programmes, and learning initiatives.
  • Support succession planning and internal talent development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity.
  • Sound knowledge of the Nigerian Labour Act, Pension Reform Act, and applicable employment legislation.
  • Demonstrated experience in employee relations, performance management, and HR compliance.
  • Ability to manage a geographically dispersed workforce across multiple locations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity, emotional intelligence, and professional discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools.
